Super League Power Rankings - Week 1

WEEK 1 POWER RANKINGS

2026 SUPER LEAGUE

The draft is over, and somehow, the league feels shockingly even despite the picks being spread out so much. The league seems to unite around defeating one enemy, but every division is up for grabs. Several teams that were down on their luck last year are now right back in the mix. This is shaping up to be an epic season once again.

GIRTH
Truly
I know Truly will hate me for this ranking but someone has to be last. Despite a solid keeper big three, I don’t love the rest of the team acquired on Saturday night. I don’t know if Swift will return on the ROI for a first rounder. There’s just a lot of desperate picks here between BTJ and the Luke / Terry Mc’s. Browns outside of Fannin are not it for me so I didn’t love the Boston pick either. I would guess this team doesn’t actually finish this low in the standings though. Truly showed last season that he has come a long way. If Wetjen gets the start this week, that would Truly be a fantasy strategy of all time.

ZARK'S SHARKS
Zachary
Gibbs and Cook give the Sharks a high floor each week, but the rest of the starting lineup is somewhat unproven talent outside of Baker. The Sharks have clearly bet on ceiling by bringing in some return men, who may start. If Loveland produces receptions, this team will be feisty. But part of this ranking is the fact that the Sharks are clearly going all in on next season and will probably be wheeling and dealing as much as possible (its kinda hard with that mountain of picks). Their previous wheeling and dealing put them behind the 8 ball in the draft, as Noah’s team was already done drafting by the Sharks second pick. This is just a start, though. I wouldn’t be surprised if this team does win more games than suggested this year, and I also wouldn’t be surprised at all if that begins in week 1 vs Beer Wolves.

ELK RIVER DIKES
Tyler & Stratton
This team has a chance to be the most fun NFL Redzone watch team ever. Dike as a keeper was awesome and I was sad because I was considering taking him as high as second overall. Dart has TD upside, JT is a stud, and if Dike can build on his all pro rookie year, then they could be in play for a divisional title with how things are shaking out. If Kittle gets to 100% then this team will hit a new tier, but I can’t bet on that happening Week 1. Taking a week 1 tune-up match vs. Need for K1Speed would convince me to raise this team a few spots. Extra points for a new team identity and leaning in to Dike.

NEED FOR K1SPEED
Joe
I don’t hate the starting lineup for this team, especially when healthy and no BYEs, but there’s something slightly fishy here. Love over Saquon at 1.01 was a big move, and one that could end up being the right move in the long term. The problem with that decision for me is it will require Joe to operate with a more patient management style this season, one that we have yet to see from the man who is the first to draft defenses and kickers typically. Joe rosters three kickers for some reason, which hinders depth. K1Speed is the first team on this list that is not running a returner of any kind in their lineup, so it will be interesting if he falls behind due to that. This team has a chance to be competitive this year, which is a big upgrade over last year, but I can’t put him over 9 until we start seeing some wins. If Joe could take home a Gonzalez divsion title this year and make the playoffs, it would be a dream come true for all the K1Speed fans worldwide.

SHIT EATING SKUNKS
Curry & Austin
The Skunks ownership enters the season completing the Super League draft for the first time, and I’d say they did a respectable job. A lot of pressure has been put on Bucky Irving’s shoulders as he was kept over Joe Burrow, but the consensus opinion now believes QBs should not be keepers in Super League (aside from Josh Allen). Austin gets a Steeler he can feel good about in Dowdle, Rice has big ceiling upside, and the Stafford Adams stack is really fun. I didn’t love the Hunter pick, and co-owner Curry mentioned this to me in person as a panic pick which makes sense. With the Skunks division looking pretty tough, I have to put them in the toilet bowl side of the rankings as of now, but I do think a pick like Josh Jacobs could actually help win a toilet bowl game.
7
SACKS IN THE CITY
Nathan
The defending champs had a very slow early pick window, with teams refusing to trade with the team that’s collected two championship rings in two years. Lamar, Bijan, and D Henry is a championship winning big three as we already saw, but CMC’s departure takes away the massive advantage the team had last year. The rest of this new roster can certainly be questioned between MHJ, Odunze, Conception, and Deebo. Maybe I’m hating, but the bench is extra mid, even worse than some of the teams below the Sacks on this list, yet there is returning scoring upside with a lot of them. The reasons I have this team ranked at 7: Nathan has proven he is in the top tier of managers for this league, has that elite big three, and is in an entirely winnable division. I think the matchups vs Bona Vista will make or break both teams’ seasons. For now, I have to say that Sacks is a step behind two teams in the division for me.
6
THE BRIDGE ROAD ORCAS
Jack & Eli
The Orcas had possibly their most active pre trade window ever, shocking everyone when they bought in on Ashton Jeanty. Brock Bowers is projected to be an absolute monster in this new scoring format, and there was some solid talent brought in during the draft, namely Waddle. Personally, I wouldn’t have navigated the offseason the way the Orcas did, but that’s the beauty of this league. The Orcas now get a big chance to say they were right, with their division being as wide open as its ever been. This team has pretty decent depth compared to the rest of their division, which could prove to be valuable during the 14 week regular season. Taking week 1 vs the Shit Eating Skunks feels like a necessary step towards making the playoffs already.
5
BONA VISTA BEER WOLVES
Noah & Nick
I was with Noah during our draft and the one word I can describe his draft with is “passion”. You can tell that the Beer Wolves want to make noise this year in their division, and that Noah really enjoyed his draft strategy this year. After 4 rounds of waiting, the Beer Wolves dominated much of the mid rounds, going after names like Johnson, Lloyd, Nix, Stribling, Pittman, Bill, Strange, and Cyrus. Noah did an excellent job putting together a team that has a chance to make magic happen, and because of that, I have to give him the nod in the division for now. This team immediately faces a matchup that they have to win, with the Sharks coming to town. No matchup can be wasted if they want to make the playoffs this season.
4
FOR(TH)KY DOWN
Jackson
This team really just had to bring back this identity huh? Ok fine - For(th)ky Down is back and better than ever under Jackson’s three year plan coming to fruition. The starting lineup has insane upside, and while everyone is healthy and available, this team could beat anyone in the league, including the teams ranked above them today. In fact, this week one matchup vs. Curtis and WFT could prove that from the jump, which would raise this team on this list. The reason they are 4 and not top 3 is due to the risk, though. Skattebo, Walker, and Zay are all threats to miss games throughout the season, and Malik Washington was a sharp pick, but will need to keep his returning roles locked down to remain relevant. There are interesting guys on this bench that can step in if needed, though. They are in a way better spot than this franchise has been since Carter took this team to the finals before completely running it into the ground. Jackson has a chance to take his division for the first time ever.
3
SLATTS SLIMES
Sam
The Slimes come in after trading Ashton Jeanty with extra talent on the roster. Honestly, this team could win 10+ games if they stay healthy. I love Devonta this year, St Brown is a beast, and Nabers gives you home run upside. The one obvious weakness here is RB depth, with Tuten and ETN being the only solid RBs on the roster as of now. If this team decided to shell out picks later in the year, I could see them being a huge juggernaut. For now, they immediately face a big test vs the Pirates, where Sam has said he’s getting the W. If that happens, then the whole league would be on Slime watch. Beyond this week, divisional matchups will be very important to securing a playoff spot. It has felt like Sam has always been edging greatness in this league, and perhaps this is the year where he gets his taste of postseason success.
2
WASHINGTON FANTASY TEAM
Curtis
Talk about a balanced and fun starting lineup. Achane and Monty are high risk, high reward RBs, bolstered by a group of high target receivers and possibly the most powerful player in the league this year, Trey McBride. There are bench pieces to feel good about too, including Shaheed who could be on full breakout watch with returning yards counting this season. The major roadblock for WFT is going to be the fact that the Pirates are in the same division. Those matchups will be two of the biggest this season if both teams stay healthy. Still, I think between this fun and powerful roster, and Curtis’ acumen as a manager, this team is a playoff lock. I did hear that Curtis created some sort of AI model to help him draft. You have to wonder how that will impact him over the course of a season, or if it will change his playstyle. WFT is right back in the mix after their first down season ever.
1
PARMA PIRATES
Josiah
I was called, amongst other things, fantasy H*tler for the draft I put together this week. This could be one of the craziest starting lineups to ever exist in Super League, and the flex depth is very strong compared to most of the league. DJ Moore, Parker Washington, and Kraft all being on the bench would be an insane luxury to basically any team in the league. As a few pointed out since the draft, this team is definitely not bulletproof, though, with RB depth being a major concern. If Saquon or CMC go down, Tony Pollard is thrust in as a starter, which lowers the threat level, certainly. I want to win the title this season, and it feels like this is a team worthy of that, but more moves will likely be needed to reach god level status.
